Joe Barker, CHS Hedging, Senior Director of Commodity Brokerage

Barker has worked at CHS Hedging for more than 25 years.  He provides commodity price risk management services for the company’s commercial and agricultural producer clients. He began in the Indianapolis branch office as a commodity broker in 2000. From 2007 to 2014, he was the branch manager of the Kansas City office and spent several years in the Indianapolis office. While he was in Kansas City, Mr. Barker was a registered floor broker, severed on multiple exchange committees, and was on the KCBT Clearing Corporation Board of Directors.  Currently, he represents CHS and our owners with positions at the Commodity Markets Council (CMC), the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives (NCFC), the MIAX Hearing Committee, and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Agriculture Advisory Committee (AAC).

Joe is a native of Indiana.  He has a bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University, and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University.
