John Murphy, Mizuho Americas, Managing Director and Head of Futures Division

John Murphy is a Managing Director and Head of the Futures Division for Mizuho Americas, the U.S. broker-dealer subsidiary of Mizuho Securities Co., Ltd, and a member of the global Mizuho Financial Group. Mizuho Americas provides capital markets and investment banking services to institutional clients, specializing in fixed income, equities, futures and mergers and acquisitions advisory. 

Mr. Murphy currently serves as Chairman of the Commodity Markets Council, where he has been a member for a number of years, and also sits on the Board of Directors of the Futures Industry Association.  Mr. Murphy served for several years as a member of the CFTC Market Risk Advisory Committee.
